Thanksgiving Drive

What are we doing?  

This Thanksgiving drive is 2-fold! We are collecting turkey’s to give away for families in need as well as feeding the homeless a Thanksgiving dinner. It is about reaching those who aren’t able to celebrate this special day because of whatever situation or circumstance they may be going through.

Why are we doing this? 

We are doing this to reach out to those in our community that do not have enough money to celebrate Thanksgiving. Holidays are difficult for those who are barely making it. You can change that buy making this campaign happen for the hundreds, even thousands that will not have funds to celebrate this day.

Who can do it? 

You. If you or someone you know has wanted the opportunity to feed people by the hundreds, here it is. It is a wonderful thing to see people so happy knowing they will have the means to celebrate this day full of Thanksgiving, love, and family.

How can it be done? 

1.     Share this campaign on any social media site, posting flyers, word of mouth. (in hopes to raise funds, food, and people who would like to help with this campaign.

2.     Collect turkeys and any other food items, by asking for financial donations, even food from stores, family, or/and friends.

3.     Have a specific drop off place that people can drop off their donations for this campaign.

4.     Find a location to host this campaign. It can be a home, Church, facility, or any rented space.

5.     Gather people through social media, friends, family, who would like to help pass out the food items collected.

Where can it be done?

This campaign is for places where there is a need and can be hosted anywhere a facility is available to host it.

When you can do it? 

Thanksgiving collection will start in the month of October or months prior. Turkey give away will be the 3rd Wednesday of November. Dinner for the homeless will be served the day of Thanksgiving at a time convenient for your group.
